About Erik
Erik Vogel earned his Bachelor of Arts from Bowling Green State University in 1982 and later attended Temple University Beasley School of Law. His education combined liberal arts and formal legal training. That background provided the foundation for a practice that spans state and federal courts.
Vogel is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, as well as the state bars of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He also holds current membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar. Those admissions allow him to take cases that progress beyond trial courts and, when appropriate, into appellate review.
Over the years Vogel has worked on matters that require navigation of both state and federal procedures. He takes cases filed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and can present arguments at the appellate level when necessary. His ability to appear before multiple tribunals reflects a practice that extends across jurisdictions rather than being confined to a single forum.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and steady in court. He prefers straightforward legal writing and clear oral argument. Clients value that clarity because it reduces surprises. Vogel’s written advocacy emphasizes the central legal issues and a concise presentation of facts.
His work touches on litigation that often moves between trial courts and higher tribunals. That movement can require shifting tactics, and Vogel adapts accordingly. He manages the procedural demands of devices such as briefs, motions and appeals while keeping attention on the factual record.
Vogel has maintained a Pennsylvania bar membership and kept active admissions to the Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. That maintained standing enables him to take on matters that may require filing briefs or seeking leave to appear in a broader forum than a single state court.
He practices out of Only When You Win. There he continues to represent clients in matters arising in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and handles matters that can proceed to federal appellate review. His current practice focuses on handling cases in those jurisdictions and pursuing appeals when necessary.
