About Eric

Eric Ollason is a bankruptcy attorney based in Tucson, Arizona. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Arizona in 1988 and his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 1992. He has been practicing law in Arizona since 1993. After law school, Eric clerked for Judge Alfredo C — Marquez, Senior United States District Court Judge, from 1994 to 1997. In this role, he drafted bench memoranda, orders, and judgments, and participated in case management and status conferences. He also researched and drafted bench memoranda and orders for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals when Judge Marquez sat on the Court of Appeals.

In 1997, Eric returned to private practice and began specializing in bankruptcy law. He is Board Certified in Bankruptcy by the State Bar of Arizona and has represented clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. He has also represented bankruptcy trustees and been involved in reorganization under Chapter 12 of the bankruptcy code. He is fluent in Spanish and oversees the firm's operations budget, supervising four full-time and part-time employees. In addition to his professional activities, Eric has participated in numerous community service projects, including pro bono service to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona and providing free legal advice to low-income individuals at events such as the Home Rescue Fair sponsored by Chicanos Por La Causa and the Foreclosure Prevention Workshop organized by U.S. Congressman Raul M. Grijalva.
