Eric Lawton is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1972 and holds bar number 53958. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Lawton is the principal attorney at the Law Offices of Eric Lawton, A Professional Corporation, located at 100 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 700, Santa Monica, California. He has been practicing law for over fifty years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles area and surrounding regions in Southern California.

Mr. Lawton earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, graduating in 1972. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a focus on International Relations in 1969. During his time at Loyola, he was actively involved in the Young Lawyers Program and participated in the 21st Annual Uvaldo Herrera Moot Court Competition.

Mr. Lawton concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance coverage, business litigation, and personal injury law. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving disputes over insurance claims, contractual agreements, and personal injury claims. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.

Throughout his career, Mr. Lawton has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.

Mr. Lawton is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He holds membership in the State Bar of California's Litigation Section and the ABA's Section on Tort, Trial & Insurance Practice. He is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Lawton is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
