About Eric Blaine

Eric Blaine Alspaugh is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2004. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Alspaugh is the founder and president of Alspaugh Law, a law firm specializing in corporate transactional and intellectual property law, located in Irvine, California. He has been practicing law for over 20 years, serving clients throughout Southern California.

Mr. Alspaugh earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2004. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, San Diego, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1996. During his time at UCSD, he was awarded the Howard Hughes Science Enrichment Award and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity.

Mr. Alspaugh concentrates his practice in the areas of intellectual property law, corporate transactions, and business litigation. He represents private and publicly held companies, with significant expertise in private offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, intellectual property, and licensing matters. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.

Throughout his career, Mr. Alspaugh has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Orange, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as a partner at TechLaw LLP from 2014 to 2017 and at CKR Law, LLP from 2017 to 2018.

Mr. Alspaugh is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association, serving as a Mandatory Fee Arbitrator since 2006. He is also a member of the California State Bar Association. Additionally, he is a registered patent agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Alspaugh has been involved in various community organizations, including serving as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) Officer in the California State Guard Legal Support Command. He is fluent in English and has experience working with technology companies to increase revenue and value while reducing risks from employees and operations.
