About Ephraim Jacob
Ephraim Jacob Fink earned a B.A. from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 1996 and a J.D. from New England Law Boston in 1999. His education combines training in communications and law, an uncommon pairing that shaped the early arc of his professional life. He moved directly into a court environment after law school and spent his first year as a legal research clerk for the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch.
After the clerkship he entered private practice. In 2001 he joined Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP as an associate. He later served as an associate at Babchik & Young, LLP beginning in 2008. In 2013 he became a partner at Maya Murphy, P.C., a role that expanded his responsibilities and client contact. In 2020 he took the position of Special Counsel at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, where he continues to work.
Across those roles he has appeared in a range of forums. He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut. He also holds admissions in several federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the Northern District of New York, as well as the Connecticut District Court and the United States Supreme Court.
The arc of his career reflects steady movement through litigation-oriented positions and increasing courtroom involvement. Early work in the Connecticut judicial system gave him exposure to court procedures and legal research. Subsequent positions at regional and national firms added trial and appellate experience. That mix of public- and private-sector work informs how he approaches cases and client matters.
Colleagues and clients see a lawyer who is comfortable in court and capable behind the scenes. He has handled matters that required filing in state and federal venues and has navigated the procedural differences between them. Over time he has shifted from associate responsibilities to leadership roles inside firms, then to a senior counsel position at his current firm.
He joined Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin as Special Counsel in 2020 and practices out of their offices. At Marshall Dennehey he concentrates on litigation in state and federal courts.
