About Emily

Emily Pollock earned her undergraduate degree from Auburn University before returning to her home state to study law at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she received her J.D. in 2020. She completed the rigorous coursework and training typical of modern law schools and graduated at a time when courts and clients were adapting to new technologies and shifting legal priorities.

After graduating from UAB in 2020, Pollock began practicing in Alabama. She is admitted to the Alabama bar and has built her legal foundation in the state where she studied. The early years of any lawyer’s career are often formative; for Pollock, they have been a period of steady growth and on-the-job learning as she moved from classroom theory into day-to-day legal work.

In 2024 she joined Hollis Wright. Her affiliation with the firm marks the most recent chapter in her professional life. Colleagues describe her as practical and straightforward in court filings and client meetings. She has taken on responsibilities that range from drafting pleadings to advising clients on procedural matters, work that requires attention to detail and clear legal reasoning.

Pollock’s practice reflects the breadth of issues that a general civil practice can present. She handles matters that require careful research, timely motion practice, and client communication. Her work at the firm has included courtroom preparation and collaborative case strategy, tasks that often bring junior attorneys into close contact with senior counsel and clients. Those experiences have helped her develop a measured approach to problem solving and case management.

Outside of the courtroom, Pollock’s background includes the kinds of academic and practical experience law firms rely on when assigning cases to newer attorneys: solid writing, research skills, and familiarity with state procedure. She keeps pace with changes in Alabama law and the practical demands of litigation and transactional work. In conversations she emphasizes clarity for clients and pushing work to completion on schedule.

As of 2026 she practices at Hollis Wright in Alabama, where her work centers on serving clients in matters handled by the firm.
