About Emil Jonathan
Emil Jonathan Fleysher earned his Juris Doctor from Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in 2006. He left law school at a time when many graduates were finding their footing after the financial crisis. He chose a path that led him into consumer bankruptcy and related court work.
After graduating, Fleysher began building a practice that would center on individual debt relief and bankruptcy matters. He joined the American Bar Association in 2007 and became active in local and specialty groups as his practice developed. Those memberships helped him stay current on procedural developments and local court practices.
In 2010 he founded The Law Office of Emil Fleysher, P.A., where he serves as president. He has run the firm since its inception, handling client intake, case preparation and appearances in bankruptcy proceedings. The office handles matters commonly encountered by consumers seeking bankruptcy protection and the related negotiations that arise between debtors and creditors.
Fleysher has maintained steady involvement in professional organizations. He has been a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers since 2010 and has belonged to the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida during the same period. His membership in the Broward County Bar Association dates to 2009. Those associations reflect a practice oriented around bankruptcy law and trials in the Southern District of Florida federal courts.
Colleagues describe Fleysher as pragmatic in the courtroom and attentive in client meetings. He works directly with people facing difficult financial choices, guiding them through paperwork and court procedures. He also spends time monitoring local bankruptcy court rules and the procedural shifts that can affect filings and hearings.
Outside the courtroom he continues to engage with the bar associations that informed his early practice years. He remains a member of the American Bar Association, where he first joined in 2007. He operates his firm under The Law Office of Emil Fleysher, P.A., and continues to represent consumers in bankruptcy proceedings.
He currently represents individuals in consumer bankruptcy and related matters.
