About Elton Harvey

Elton Harvey III earned degrees over a span of years, culminating in a Juris Doctor from Western New England University School of Law in 1986. Earlier academic work includes a Master of Arts from the University of New Haven in 1976 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut in 1969. The sequence of degrees marks a measured course through higher education before entry to the legal profession.

He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and maintains current membership in the Connecticut State Bar. That standing has supported a long legal career focused in-state. Colleagues and clients have known him as a steady presence in Connecticut’s property and mortgage circles.

In 2013 he was named a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Lawyers. The following year he served as Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Real Property Section. Those roles placed him in a position to work alongside peers on issues affecting land use, mortgages, and real property practice in the state.

Over the years he has split time between practice and professional activity. He has participated in section work that shaped continuing education offerings and professional guidance for other attorneys. His involvement in bar activities reflects an interest in how practice standards and client services evolve over time.

Harvey’s background spans several decades and brings a perspective shaped by both academic training and practical work in Connecticut law. He approaches matters that touch title, financing, and property rights with a particular eye to state statutes and customary practice. He has worked on matters that require an understanding of mortgage instruments, recording practices, and the interplay of state real property rules.

Clients consult him for matters rooted in real property and mortgage law, often when a detailed reading of documents and state procedure matters. He continues to be active in the Connecticut legal community and in bar section work. His current practice centers on real property and mortgage law in Connecticut.
