About Elliot A.

Elliot A. Fus earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1997. He completed his legal education at a time when courts and practice were beginning to change rapidly. That training provided a foundation for a long career in North Carolina law.

He is admitted to practice in North Carolina. After law school he established his career in the state and has remained professionally active there for nearly three decades. His work spans traditional courtroom work and efforts to resolve disputes outside the courtroom.

At one point he held a certification from the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission as a Certified Superior Court Mediator. That certification is currently listed as inactive. The credential reflects experience in mediation and alternative dispute-resolution settings, even if he does not presently maintain active mediator status.

Throughout his career he has worked with private clients, other counsel and state courts. He has navigated procedural issues and the practical challenges that arise in state-court practice. Colleagues describe his approach as steady and pragmatic; peers note that long-term practice in a single jurisdiction brings an understanding of local rules and courtroom expectations.

He is based at Blanco Tackabery. At that firm he continues to handle matters that arise under North Carolina law and to advise clients on options for resolving contested issues. His practice draws on years of handling litigation-related problems and participating in settlement discussions.

Outside formal credentials, Fus’s record is defined by sustained practice in North Carolina since earning his law degree. He has seen changes in court procedure and dispute-resolution techniques over the years, and his background includes both traditional litigation and mediation experience. He practices at Blanco Tackabery in North Carolina and handles state-law matters and dispute-resolution work.
