About Ellen J.

Ellen J. Rhodeman earned her Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 2013 after completing an undergraduate program in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Carroll College in 2010. Her academic path combined broad liberal arts training with professional legal study. That combination shaped a measured approach to legal reasoning and client counseling.

At Carroll College Rhodeman studied the intersections of political theory, ethics and economics. The program trained her to weigh policy questions against practical outcomes. Those early years left her comfortable handling complex factual scenarios and sorting competing priorities. She carried that analytical habit into law school and into her work as a lawyer.

Rhodeman attended Washburn University School of Law at a time when she was building the core skills lawyers use every day: statutory interpretation, legal research, drafting and oral advocacy. She completed her J.D. in 2013. The classroom and casework experience reinforced a pragmatic style. She learned to distill complicated rules into clear guidance for clients.

After earning her degree, Rhodeman moved into legal practice. She spent her early years gaining hands-on experience advising clients and addressing disputes in forums where results matter. Colleagues describe her as deliberate in her preparation and straightforward in client conversations. She approaches each matter by identifying the likely outcomes and the options that make sense for the people involved.

Today Rhodeman maintains a private practice where she advises individuals and small businesses on a range of legal matters. Her work includes counseling clients, preparing transactional documents, and addressing disputes when they arise. She structures her practice to provide practical answers and to help clients make informed decisions about next steps.

Outside the office she keeps current on developments in the law and remains engaged in matters that touch on the policy ideas she studied in college. Her career combines a liberal arts foundation and formal legal training. She practices law in private practice and represents clients across a variety of everyday legal needs.
