Elizabeth Yang is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2007. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Yang earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of La Verne College of Law in 2006. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2003. During her time at UC Berkeley, she completed her studies in two and a half years.
Ms. Yang's practice areas include family law, intellectual property law, and business law. In family law, she handles cases involving divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, asset division, and both prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Her intellectual property practice encompasses patent, copyright, and trademark prosecution and litigation. In business law, she assists with corporate entity formation, contract drafting, contract disputes, and litigation. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Throughout her career, Ms. Yang has gained experience in various legal stages, including litigation, appeals, negotiations, and trials. Ms. Yang is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association (LA-IPLA), and the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA). She serves on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association and is a member of the California Minority Counsel Program. She has also been involved with the National Association of Asian American Professionals, serving as President, and is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles County. In 2018, she was named Alumna of the Year by Mt. San Antonio College.
