About Elizabeth Rodriguez
Elizabeth Rodriguez Lanzhammer is an attorney based in Wisconsin who brings a blend of analytical training and legal education to her practice. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Millikin University in 2004, where she studied mathematics, political science and sociology. Those disciplines shaped an approach that values careful analysis and attention to procedure.
She returned to school for law at Northern Illinois University College of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2013. At law school she took courses emphasizing business law and family law, and she completed coursework that explored corporate structure, contract issues and family court procedure. Her studies gave her grounding in both transactional matters and disputes that can arise from personal and commercial relationships.
After law school she established a practice in Wisconsin. Lanzhammer is admitted to the State of Wisconsin bar and to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. Over the years she has handled matters that touch on both corporate and domestic law. That has meant drafting agreements and advising small businesses, as well as representing individuals in family court proceedings and related disputes.
Colleagues describe her as precise in drafting and deliberate in court preparation. She tends to approach problems by breaking them into discrete issues and addressing each one on its merits. In business matters she assists clients with documentation, contract review and compliance concerns. In family matters she has managed divorce-related financial issues, parenting arrangements and support calculations. Her practice mixes negotiable settlements and contested hearings, depending on what each matter requires.
Lanzhammer joined Axley Brynelson, LLP, where she continues to practice. At the firm she works on matters that arise in both state courts and, when appropriate, in federal court in the Western District of Wisconsin. She maintains a practice that includes transactional work, client counseling and courtroom advocacy in business and family law matters. She currently practices at Axley Brynelson, LLP, handling business and family law matters at both the state and federal level.
