About Elizabeth G.

Elizabeth G. Grimes built her legal foundation at Wake Forest University School of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 1989 after completing a B.A. in economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1985. She served on the Wake Forest Law Review staff during law school. Those years set the stage for a long career in the courtroom and in community organizations.

After graduating in 1989, Grimes entered practice in North Carolina. Over time she combined trial work with involvement in local and statewide nonprofit governance. She joined the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina in 2019 and continues to serve there. Earlier volunteer roles included service on the board of Greensboro Community Television, where she was secretary in 2004, and on the board of Northern Guilford Music Boosters, where she served as chair of the finance committee in 2007.

Grimes has maintained memberships in several professional groups that reflect her trial work. She holds lifetime memberships in both the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. She is also listed among the National Trial Lawyers Top 100. Those affiliations mark a steady engagement with national trial lawyer networks rather than specific awards recorded here.

Her practice has involved courtroom representation and civil litigation. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She breaks complex cases into manageable parts. She prepares witnesses and documents thoroughly. In court she relies on clear argument and close attention to evidentiary detail.

Grimes balances professional work with civic activity. Her nonprofit board roles show an interest in both public service media and youth arts funding, and more recently in brain injury advocacy. That mix of legal practice and nonprofit governance has shaped how she evaluates case strategy and client priorities.

She practices from Grimes Yeoman, PLLC. Her work in recent years centers on civil trial litigation and matters that require courtroom experience. She continues to be active in state and national trial lawyer organizations and serves on nonprofit boards while maintaining her private practice.

Her current practice concentrates on civil litigation and trial work.
