About Elizabeth D

Elizabeth D Whited built her legal foundation in Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in physiology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004, then went on to receive a J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2007. Those years set the stage for a career that has moved between public service and private practice.

Fresh out of law school she joined the Harris County District Attorney’s Office as an assistant district attorney in 2007. The role placed her in courtrooms early in her career. In 2011 she took a similar position in the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office. Her time in both offices involved case preparation, motion work and courtroom appearances.

Whited has maintained steady ties to the bar and to local legal organizations. She has served on the board of the Williamson County Bar Association as a director since 2013. She also holds memberships in the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Austin Trial Lawyers Association, both since 2019. Those affiliations reflect ongoing engagement with peers across the state and in the Austin legal community.

Her move into private practice brought those prosecutorial skills to a different setting. At Zinda Law Group she applies courtroom experience to client representation and litigation. Colleagues say she brings an understanding of how prosecutors prepare cases and uses that background when handling matters for private clients.

Her background in the public sector informs how she evaluates evidence and prepares witnesses. She has balanced motion calendar work with time in the trial courtroom. That combination of duties has shaped her approach to case management and client communication.

Outside of court and association duties, Whited’s legal career reflects a steady progression from prosecutor to private-practice litigator. She has remained based in Texas throughout her career and continues to participate in local bar activities. She currently practices litigation at Zinda Law Group.
