About Elizabeth D.
Elizabeth D. Alvarez set out on a path that combined international affairs and the law. She earned a B.A. in Political Science, concentrating in International Relations, from Abilene Christian University. She then took up legal studies at Pepperdine University School of Law, completing her J.D. in 2008.
After law school, Alvarez built a practice grounded in the courts where she is admitted to appear. She holds admission to the Supreme Court of Texas, to the State Bar of Texas, and to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Those credentials have shaped the matters she brings before judges and juries, and they frame the geographic reach of her work.
Alvarez practices at Guest and Gray Law Office. Her time there has involved representing clients in proceedings in Texas courts and in federal court for the Northern District of Texas. She handles pleadings, motions and courtroom appearances, and collaborates with colleagues on trial preparation. Colleagues describe her approach as pragmatic. Clients see an attorney who prepares carefully and follows through on procedural requirements.
Beyond her day-to-day caseload, Alvarez has maintained ties to her alma mater. She serves on the Pepperdine Alumni Association Board and previously acted as a volunteer coordinator for the organization. That involvement has kept her connected to law school networks and alumni activities. It also places her in a position to mentor newer graduates and to participate in alumni programming.
Her practice today is based at Guest and Gray Law Office. There she represents clients in matters before Texas state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
