About Eliot Hillel

Eliot Hillel Lewis began his academic journey at the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1974. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 1977, finishing his formal legal education as the legal profession entered a period of change in the late 1970s.

Following law school, Lewis established his practice in Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in that jurisdiction and has maintained a presence in the state’s legal community across multiple decades. His career spans an era when the practice of law moved through shifting procedural rules, evolving litigation technology, and changing client expectations.

Lewis is associated with the firm Pomerantz Perlberger & Lewis. The firm’s name includes his surname, reflecting a longstanding relationship with the office. Over the years he has worked alongside colleagues at the firm to serve clients in Pennsylvania, drawing on the foundation of his legal training and years of courtroom and office practice.

Colleagues and clients have encountered Lewis in settings common to many trial and transactional lawyers: court proceedings, settlement negotiations, counsel meetings and written advocacy. His work reflects the routine demands of legal practice—preparing filings, advising clients on legal options, and advancing matters through the state court system when necessary. Those tasks have occupied much of his professional life since leaving law school.

Outside formal casework, Lewis’s career is marked by continuity. He represents a career path that began in the mid-1970s and continued into the 21st century, adapting as the practice evolved while remaining anchored in Pennsylvania law. Over time he has navigated changes in procedures and expectations, bringing institutional knowledge to client matters. He currently practices at Pomerantz Perlberger & Lewis, where he maintains an active law practice in Pennsylvania.
