About Edwin H Howard
Edwin H Howard II built a legal path that moves from classrooms to the courtroom. He earned a J.D. from the Massachusetts School of Law (2013) after completing a B.S. in Management at Bentley College (2006). Those degrees laid the groundwork for a career split between firm practice and solo work.
He began practicing law in the early 2010s. In 2011 he worked at Bonville & Howard Lawyers at Law, where he handled a variety of matters and learned the day-to-day work of client representation. That experience led him to start his own practice. He now serves as owner and lawyer at the Law Office of Edwin Howard, running the day-to-day operations while taking on client matters himself.
Howard is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and to appear before the First Circuit. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. That membership keeps him connected to local developments in court rules and state bar activity. He participates in professional events and takes part in continuing legal education that informs his practice.
His career has balanced courtroom work and client-facing counseling. At the firm level he handled matters typical of a small practice: drafting pleadings, appearing in hearings, and advising clients on next steps. Running his own office added administrative responsibilities. He manages case intake, client communications, and the logistical elements that come with operating a small law office.
Colleagues describe him as pragmatic and methodical in case preparation. He approaches each file with attention to procedure and deadlines. That approach shows in how he prepares for hearings and structures client updates. He presents legal options clearly and lays out the procedural path ahead so clients can make informed choices.
Outside of casework, he keeps an eye on evolving rules in Massachusetts and on precedents from the First Circuit that affect litigation strategy. He uses those developments to shape how cases are handled in his office. He continues to represent clients across the Commonwealth and in matters that require appellate or federal court attention.
As the principal of the Law Office of Edwin Howard, he combines hands-on client work with running a small practice. He currently handles matters in Massachusetts and before the First Circuit.
