About Edward F.
Edward F. Whipps has spent more than half a century in Ohio law. His career stretches from a first associate role in the early 1960s to running his own firm by the early 1990s. He has moved through several partnerships and maintains a private practice in the Dublin area.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Ohio Wesleyan University, earning a B.A. in 1958. He then took his legal degree from Ohio University, receiving a J.D. in 1961. Those academic years set the stage for a steady progression through private practice in Ohio.
Whipps began his legal career in 1961 as an associate at George, Greek, King & McMahon. Five years later he became a partner when the firm expanded and the name changed to George, Greek, King, McMahon & McConnaughey. He took on further partnership roles in the late 1970s and early 1980s, joining McConnaughey, Stradley, Mone and Moul in 1979 and then Thompson, Hine & Flory in 1981. Each move placed him in a different law firm environment and offered new responsibilities.
In 1992 he launched Edward F. Whipps & Associates and began running his own practice. That step shifted him from firm partnership to firm ownership. Over the years he has managed the practical demands of a small firm while maintaining client relationships and overseeing case work. His practice has remained anchored in Ohio, and he operates out of an office in Dublin.
Colleagues and clients have known him for steady counsel rather than headline-making litigation. He has navigated the day-to-day legal work that keeps small firms operating: client intake, case management, and the routine litigation and transactional matters that form the backbone of private practice. He is licensed to practice in Ohio and has built a long career on practicing law in the state.
Now in the later decades of his career, Whipps continues to serve clients from his Dublin office. He maintains an active practice addressing legal matters for clients in Ohio.
