About Edward D.

Edward D. Siebert combines a background in broadcast journalism with legal training. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000. He then completed his Juris Doctor at The John Marshall Law School in 2006. That mix of communication skills and legal study has shaped his approach to client work and courtroom preparation.

Early in his legal career, Siebert worked in the Kane County court system. In 2005 he served as a law clerk and advanced to chief law clerk. That experience exposed him to courtroom procedures, case management and the day-to-day demands of county-level courts. It also gave him first-hand familiarity with judges, clerks and administrative practice.

After law school, Siebert moved into private practice. In 2008 he joined the firm Ariano, Hardy, Nyuli, Johnson, Richmond & Goettel as an associate lawyer. There he handled client matters typical of a young associate, including drafting motions, conducting research and participating in hearings. Two years later, in 2010, he accepted a position at English Lucas Priest & Owsley, LLP as a lawyer. At that firm he continued to broaden his experience in litigation and client counseling, working on matters that required courtroom appearances and negotiated resolutions.

Those roles reflect a steady progression through public and private practice settings. Siebert has combined courtroom experience from his clerkship with the demands of firm work. He has worked on litigation tasks and on the procedural side of cases. Colleagues describe him as methodical; he prepares documents carefully and focuses on clear presentation of facts.

Today Siebert is part of Village Law Offices LLC. He practices in Illinois and brings the experience he gained at both county courts and multiple law firms to his current position. He has remained in the Illinois legal community since his studies at the University of Illinois and John Marshall. His background in journalism continues to inform how he communicates with clients and presents information in writing.

He is licensed to practice in Illinois and maintains an active presence in the state’s legal market. He now practices at Village Law Offices LLC, handling legal matters in Illinois.
