About E. Blair

E. Blair Schilling earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2013. She entered the profession the same year the city and region were still recovering from economic shifts that reshaped practice in Louisiana. Those early career years helped shape how she approaches complex regulatory and corporate matters.

After law school, Schilling gained admission to a range of federal and state courts that reflect the jurisdictional sweep of her practice. She is admitted to practice in Louisiana and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She also holds admissions to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana. These credentials have allowed her to handle matters that move between state and federal forums.

Schilling expanded her credentials in recent years through specialized training. She completed a certification in Sustainable Capitalism and ESG at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. That program gave her additional tools to advise clients on environmental, social and governance considerations and on how those issues intersect with corporate governance and transactional work.

Her professional affiliations include ongoing membership in the American Bar Association and a fellowship in the American Bar Foundation, a status she has held since 2023. These associations place her in professional networks that emphasize ethics, scholarship and developments in the law. She engages in those circles while continuing to serve clients in the everyday practice of law.

Schilling is listed as an attorney in the New Orleans office of Fishman Haygood, LLP. In that setting she handles matters that often involve corporate clients, commercial disputes and regulatory compliance. Colleagues describe her as deliberate and detail-oriented; clients see her as practical and straightforward. She approaches each matter by breaking complex issues into clear, manageable steps and prioritizing timely resolutions.

Outside of court admissions and certifications, Schilling’s work reflects a balance between litigation-readiness and transactional planning. She drafts agreements, advises on governance questions, and prepares for disputes when necessary. Her training in sustainable capitalism informs an added layer of advice on ESG implications for business decisions. She maintains an active practice at Fishman Haygood, LLP focusing on corporate, commercial and ESG-related legal matters.
