About Dylan O
Dylan O Knisley studied law at Capital University Law School and earned his J.D. in 2014. He completed his formal legal education at a time when many recent graduates were entering an unsettled job market. Knisley moved into practice the following year and has remained in private practice since then.
He began working at Knisley Law Offices in 2015. Over the years he has handled matters that required appearances in Ohio courts and filings before the Federal Circuit. He practices out of multiple offices staffed by the firm, allowing him to meet clients in Chillicothe, Columbus and Lima. That geographic reach is part of how he sustains a steady flow of clients across different communities.
Knisley’s courtroom and filing experience spans state and federal settings. He represents clients in proceedings that arise under Ohio law and matters that call for federal appellate involvement. His work requires familiarity with court procedures at different levels and an ability to prepare pleadings and briefs suitable for varied judicial forums.
Within the firm he combines case work with client advising. He manages case intake, develops strategy, and coordinates filings across the firm’s offices. Colleagues describe his day-to-day role as hands-on: meeting clients, drafting documents, and appearing at hearings when necessary. The three-office structure of Knisley Law Offices means he routinely divides his time among the Chillicothe, Columbus and Lima locations.
He maintains current memberships in professional associations. Those connections keep him involved in legal circles and provide access to continuing legal education and networking opportunities. He also keeps up with changes in court rules and federal practice that affect how cases are presented and argued.
Outside of court work, Knisley focuses on practical problem solving for individuals and small businesses that turn to his firm for guidance. He has built a practice that emphasizes accessible client communication and the operational flexibility of a multi-office firm. As of 2026 he continues to practice at Knisley Law Offices, serving clients through its Chillicothe, Columbus and Lima offices and practicing in Ohio and before the Federal Circuit.
He is currently practicing law at Knisley Law Offices and represents clients in matters arising in Ohio courts and the Federal Circuit.
