About Drew N.

Drew N. Herrmann earned his law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law, completing his J.D. in 2014 after beginning studies in 2011. He studied litigation in law school and left with courtroom training and an emphasis on written advocacy. The academic record set the foundation for a practice centered on contested matters.

He is admitted to practice in Texas and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Those admissions reflect a career spent largely in courts rather than behind a desk. He handles matters that advance beyond initial filings and often require sustained litigation or appellate briefing.

Herrmann’s early years after law school involved steady exposure to state and federal procedure. He developed experience in drafting motions, preparing witnesses, and presenting oral argument. Over time that work broadened to include both trial preparation and appellate work. Peers describe him as methodical in preparing records for appeal and careful in framing legal issues for judges.

In the courtroom he is practical. He approaches cases by sorting the core legal issues from the peripheral facts. That approach informs his written work. Briefs emphasize clear lines of authority and concise factual statements. He also spends significant time on record development, viewing that work as essential to persuasive appellate advocacy.

Clients and colleagues encounter a lawyer who balances litigation mechanics with strategic choices. He has guided matters through discovery disputes, dispositive motion practice, and appellate briefs. He is comfortable arguing procedural and substantive points at both the trial and appellate levels. The combination of trial preparation and appellate practice gives him perspective on how decisions made early in a case can affect potential appeals.

Herrmann continues to practice in Texas and regularly appears in federal and state courts. He maintains a practice that includes trial work and appellate representation in the Fifth Circuit and elsewhere in Texas. He currently focuses his practice on civil litigation and appellate advocacy in state and federal courts.
