About Drew

Drew Beal studied at Duke University before earning his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. His academic path combined a broad liberal arts education and formal legal training. Classwork and clinic opportunities at Georgia steered him toward courtroom practice and appellate work. Those years shaped his view of law as a practical craft rather than an abstract exercise.

After law school he entered private practice and developed a steady docket of litigation and appellate matters. Early assignments ranged from trial preparation to brief writing. He took depositions, argued motions, and authored appellate briefs. Over time his caseload moved from largely local matters to cases that required federal appellate attention.

Mr. Beal is admitted to practice in Georgia and Florida. He is also admitted to the United States Courts of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the 5th Circuit. Those admissions allow him to carry matters from state courts to federal appellate panels when cases require it. He appears in both trial courts and appellate courts, adapting arguments to the forum at hand.

He is currently of counsel at Buckley Bala Wilson Mew LLP. At the firm he handles appeals and litigation across the southeastern United States. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing briefs and persistent in pursuing appellate remedies. He balances courtroom deadlines with careful legal writing. Clients span businesses and individuals who need representation in contested matters.

Courtroom work occupies a significant portion of his schedule, but written advocacy forms the backbone of much of his work. He spends hours refining appellate briefs and preparing record excerpts. That attention to the written record often determines the path a case takes on appeal. As of 2026 he practices at Buckley Bala Wilson Mew LLP, representing clients in federal and state courts across Georgia and Florida and handling appeals in the 11th and 5th Circuits.

His current practice centers on appellate work and litigation in federal and state courts in Georgia and Florida.
