About Douglas
Douglas Reed earned his Juris Doctor from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law in 2004. He completed his legal education during a period of change for Nevada’s courts and bar, entering practice as the profession adapted to new technology and case-management systems. The law school training provided the foundation for a practice that would span state lines.
Within a few years of graduation he was active in bar circles. He held membership in the American Bar Association from 2007 to 2011. Beginning in 2008 he joined both the State Bar of Nevada and the State Bar of California. Those memberships reflect a practice licensed to operate in two neighboring but distinct legal landscapes.
In 2008 Reed became a partner at Reed & Mansfield. The appointment marked a step into firm leadership. As partner he has taken on responsibilities in case strategy, client counseling and the day-to-day management that comes with running a small firm. His partner role dates from 2008 and remains a central feature of his professional profile.
Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic in approach. He has balanced the business demands of a private practice with routine bar participation. His years of membership in both state bars indicate sustained involvement in regulated practice over time. The record shows continuous membership in Nevada and California bar rolls since 2008.
Reed’s resume is straightforward and practical. He maintains an active license in two jurisdictions and has held law firm leadership responsibilities for many years. He currently practices at Reed & Mansfield, handling matters in California and Nevada.
