About Domenica

Domenica Hart began her academic journey at St. Thomas Aquinas College, where she earned a B.A. in Philosophy in 1995. She went on to complete her legal education at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, receiving her J.D. in 2002. The trajectory from philosophy to law shaped a methodical approach to legal analysis and a habit of close reading that surfaces in her courtroom work and case preparation.

Her early years in the law included a clerkship in 2005 for the Honorable Brian R. Martinotti, J.S.C., at the Superior Court of New Jersey. That role put her inside the state court system and gave her regular exposure to civil procedure, evidentiary questions, and written opinions. She moved from the clerk’s chambers into private practice the following year, taking an associate position at the Law Offices of Floyd G. Cottrell in 2006. Two years later she joined The Epstein Law Office as an associate, and by 2009 she was listed as a lawyer at Piekarsky & Associates, LLC.

Hart is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. Those multiple admissions allow her to handle matters that cross state lines and to represent clients in a variety of forums. Her background combines trial-level experience gained during her clerkship with the everyday demands of firm practice. She has worked on matters that require attention to procedure and strategy, and she has handled both negotiations and appearances in court.

Colleagues describe her as steady in litigation settings and meticulous in file management. Clients tend to encounter an attorney who explains options plainly, outlines potential outcomes, and prioritizes clear timelines. Her training in philosophy appears in the way she frames legal questions: she breaks complex issues into component parts and tests assumptions before moving forward.

Hart’s résumé shows steady movement through roles that increased responsibility over time. The clerkship offered an inside look at judicial decision-making. Subsequent associate roles deepened her experience in client work and case handling. At Piekarsky & Associates, LLC she has continued that progression, handling matters that draw on experience in multiple jurisdictions.

She maintains an office at Piekarsky & Associates, LLC and practices law across Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. She currently focuses her practice on civil litigation and related legal matters.
