About Dipa D.

Dipa D. Patel built her academic foundation at Rutgers University, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science in 2010. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law, receiving her degree in 2013. Those years of study combined social science and law and prepared her for courtroom work and case development.

After law school, Patel began her legal career at the Law Offices of Harold J. Gerr. She joined the firm as an associate in 2013 and has remained with the office since then. Early in her tenure she took on substantial caseload responsibilities, handling client intake, drafting pleadings and motions, and participating in litigation strategy meetings. The position placed her squarely in the practical work of representing clients in state matters.

Patel is admitted to practice in New Jersey. Over more than a decade in practice, she has amassed experience in the day-to-day tasks that sustain litigation. That includes preparing discovery requests, taking and defending depositions, coordinating with experts, and arguing hearings before trial courts. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical; she breaks cases into manageable parts and addresses each one in turn.

Outside the office she maintains ties to professional organizations that connect newer attorneys with broader networks. She is a current member of the Young Lawyers Bar Association and the American Association of Justice. These memberships have informed her understanding of procedural developments and offered opportunities to attend continuing legal education programs and meet peers statewide.

Clients and peers see Patel as a lawyer who moves steadily through the phases of litigation. She blends courtroom preparation with client communication, making sure people understand what to expect at each stage. Her practice demands both written advocacy and oral argument, and she spends much of her time preparing briefs and appearing in court when matters require it.

Her work remains anchored in New Jersey practice and the routines of litigation at the state level. She continues to serve clients at the Law Offices of Harold J. Gerr, where her practice centers on representing individuals and advancing their interests in state proceedings.
