About Diona

Diona Potter earned a B.S. in Urban Policy Studies from Georgia State University in 2000 and returned to school for a J.D., which she received from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2006. Her academic path combined an interest in community issues with formal legal training. The sequence of degrees set a firm foundation for a career spent practicing in Georgia.

She began her post-law school practice as an associate at Molden Holley & Thompson, LLC in 2008. That role gave her early exposure to the day-to-day demands of a law office and to working directly with clients and opposing counsel. Colleagues from that period recall that the work was fast-paced and required juggling multiple matters at once.

In 2009 she moved into a partner role at Potter Sieg, LLC. The change came quickly after her time as an associate. As a partner, she took on greater responsibility for supervising cases and guiding client strategy. Over the years she has overseen teams and managed both client intake and case preparation.

Potter’s practice has involved advising clients, preparing pleadings and other legal documents, and appearing on behalf of clients in various forums. She has handled negotiations and has represented clients in contested matters when cases could not be resolved through settlement. Her work requires balancing procedural deadlines with the practical needs of the people and organizations she represents.

Outside of the office, Potter maintains active ties to the legal community. She is a current member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers. Those memberships keep her connected to continuing legal education and to the professional networks that shape practice standards in Atlanta and across the state.

Her peers describe her approach as methodical and steady. She practices in Georgia and continues to accept matters through Potter Sieg, LLC. She currently practices at Potter Sieg, LLC, representing clients in matters across Georgia.
