About Diana
Diana Usten is an attorney admitted to practice in Florida and New York. She built her legal foundation at St. John’s University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in 2008, and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2015. Her academic record places her among a generation of lawyers who entered practice during a period of rapid change in the courts and the profession.
After law school, Usten moved into private practice and joined Wolfson & Leon. She has practiced at that firm since, taking on matters that reflect the dual-jurisdiction nature of her admissions. Her work has involved appearances and filings across both states where she is licensed, and she has navigated the procedural differences that come with practicing in Florida and New York.
Usten maintains active membership in The Florida Bar and the State Bar of New York. Those memberships allow her to represent clients in each state and to engage with the professional rules and continuing education requirements that govern practice there. She participates in bar activities and the ongoing professional education that keeps lawyers current, and she applies that continuing learning to her day-to-day responsibilities at the firm.
Colleagues describe her as a steady presence in the firm’s workflow. She handles client matters, drafts and files pleadings, and appears in court when necessary. Her practice requires attention to procedural detail, and she often works alongside more senior attorneys on complex filings and strategy development. The firm environment has given her experience across a range of tasks that support litigation and client counseling.
Clients and other lawyers encounter Usten mostly through the work she does at Wolfson & Leon. She balances court obligations, client communication and the preparation that goes into each file. Her dual admission means she must be attentive to differing local rules and deadlines, and that attention to process informs how she manages cases and client expectations.
She currently practices at Wolfson & Leon, representing clients in matters in both Florida and New York.
