About Diana

Diana Mederos practices intellectual property law across federal and state forums. She is admitted before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and holds admissions in several federal courts, including the Federal Circuit, the 11th Circuit, the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas.

Her involvement in professional organizations dates back more than a decade. She has been a member of the American Chemical Society’s Patents Committee since 2012. She joined the American Intellectual Property Law Association in 2014 and became active in the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar in 2015. In 2018 she added memberships in the Intellectual Property Law Association of Florida, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, and the South Palm Beach County Bar Association.

Mederos’s career has combined practice before administrative tribunals and litigation in federal court. Her admission to multiple district courts and appellate panels allows her to move between prosecution and dispute resolution on behalf of clients. That range of admissions also enables her to file and defend matters in patent office proceedings and bring or oppose claims in federal litigation when necessary.

Colleagues and clients see her as someone who manages both technical and legal dimensions of intellectual property matters. Her long-standing participation in patent-related professional groups signals an ongoing engagement with technical developments that affect patent practice. Membership in chemistry-focused and IP-focused organizations suggests familiarity with chemical and technical subject matter commonly encountered in patent prosecution and related disputes.

She founded and practices through Mederos Legal, PLLC. The firm handles matters that require patent office filings, trademark work, and federal-court advocacy. She has maintained active membership in national and state professional bodies while building a practice that spans prosecution and litigation.

Today she represents clients in patent prosecution, trademark work, and related litigation before federal courts and proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
