About Devon

Devon Williamson earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa in 2010 and completed a J.D. at Belmont University College of Law in 2014. Those years established the technical groundwork for a career that moved quickly from courtrooms to client rooms. Williamson’s legal education is rooted in two schools that blend classroom training with practical skills, a background that shows in the later choice to practice in Tennessee.

Williamson began public service as a state lawyer in 2017 at the 18th Judicial Circuit Court. That role provided steady exposure to courtroom procedure and case management. In 2020 Williamson joined Milberg as an associate handling personal injury matters. Working at Milberg involved plaintiff-side work and a caseload that refined litigation tactics and client communication.

In 2022 Williamson took a step into firm leadership and became a founding partner of DevonLaw, PLLC. The firm-building move followed years of hands-on litigation and court experience. It also reflected an interest in shaping how a small firm operates day to day, from intake to trial preparation. At DevonLaw, Williamson handles cases that require trial readiness and detailed client counseling.

Williamson’s practice aligns with memberships in several local and state organizations. They include the Tennessee Bar Association and the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. Williamson has been active in the Nashville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, serving as co-chair of the Carbolic Smokeball Committee for 2023–2024. For 2024–2025 Williamson joined the Nashville Bar Association as Co-Chair of Community Relations and holds a seat on the Executive Board of the Lawyers Association for Women for the same term. Those roles have involved event planning, outreach, and managing committee responsibilities.

Colleagues describe Williamson as methodical in approach and steady under pressure. In practice, that translates to emphasizing preparation and clear communication with clients. The case types handled at different points in Williamson’s career — from state court work to plaintiff-side personal injury litigation — shape a practice oriented toward contested civil matters and trial work. Williamson now practices at DevonLaw, PLLC, handling personal injury and civil litigation matters.
