About Debra Kradjian
Debra Kradjian Stephans began her formal legal training at Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, where she earned her J.D. in 2000. She completed her undergraduate studies at Seton Hall University, receiving a B.A. in psychology in 1996. Those years framed a transition from the study of human behavior to the practice of law, and marked the start of a career split between public service and private practice.
She launched her professional life in 2000 as a Deputy Lawyer General at the Office of the Lawyer General. That early position placed her inside a state legal office at the outset of her career. It was a role that connected courtroom work, legal research and public-law responsibilities. Over time she moved between government assignments and private firm work.
In 2021 she joined Lauren Murray Law Offices, LLC as of counsel. The title reflects a senior advisory role inside a smaller firm setting. Her experience includes advising on matters that arise under New Jersey law and supporting litigation and transactional work consistent with firm practice. She has worked in both the public sector and private sector, bringing perspectives from each to her later roles.
Stephans is admitted to practice in New Jersey. She also maintains current professional memberships in bar and legal organizations. Those affiliations place her in the network of New Jersey practitioners and connect her to ongoing professional development and peer engagement.
