About Deborah Wolf
Deborah Wolf Miller is a solo practitioner based in Ithaca, New York, where she specializes in various areas of law, including estate planning, probate, real estate law, and elder law. Admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1989, she later became a member of the New York Bar in 1998. Her extensive legal practice encompasses many services—such as estate planning, administration of estates, elder law, and tax research. Deborah earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, New Jersey, in 1989. Prior to her legal education, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History and English from Rutgers University-New Brunswick in 1982.
Following law school, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Donald A. Smith, Jr., in the Superior Court of New Jersey — This clerkship provided her with inexperience in understanding court procedures and legal reasoning. Furthermore, she worked as a teaching assistant for a tax course at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China, expanding her international legal perspective. Before relocating to New York in 1996, Deborah was an associate with Garrigle and Palm, an insurance defense firm in New Jersey. After moving to Ithaca, she became actively involved in the local legal community, demonstrating her commitment to professional development and community service.
From 2017 to 2018, she served as the Treasurer of the Finger Lakes Women's Bar Association. Additionally, she held the position of Continuing Legal Education co-Chair from 2009 to 2016, contributing to the ongoing education of her peers.
