About Dax
Dax Grantham built his legal foundation at New England Law | Boston, where he earned his J.D. in 1998. He completed his undergraduate studies the same year at the University of South Alabama, receiving a B.S. in Economics and Management. Those two degrees set a practical tone for a career that blends courtroom work with client counseling.
He entered practice in Massachusetts soon afterward. His early years included a position as an associate at the Law Office of William J. McLeod in 2001. In 2003 he launched Grantham & Associates, P.C., taking on the responsibilities of firm ownership. By 2008 he was managing partner of Grantham & Cencarik P.C., a role that added practice management to his daily docket. In 2015 he established Grantham Law, where he remains the owner.
Grantham is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. His memberships reflect steady involvement in the legal community. He has been a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers since 2008. He joined the Beverly Chamber of Commerce in 2014, the American Bar Association in 2016 and Provisors in 2019.
Those memberships align with the types of matters he handles. Over the course of his practice he has dealt with consumer bankruptcy issues and related litigation. He navigates client matters that require both an understanding of bankruptcy statutes and attention to people’s financial realities. Day to day work has included case preparation, creditor negotiations and representation in court filings and hearings.
Colleagues and clients have known him for steady, hands-on case management. Running his own firms has meant overseeing administrative tasks, mentoring younger lawyers and making strategic decisions about case intake. Those responsibilities have shaped how he structures client work and how he manages time in a busy practice.
Outside of litigation and firm duties, he engages with local business organizations through the Beverly Chamber of Commerce. That local involvement follows a pattern among attorneys who balance practice with community connections. His membership in national and local groups offers access to continuing legal education and peer networks.
Grantham’s trajectory is straightforward: an undergraduate degree in economics and management; a J.D.; early associate work; successive ownership and leadership roles; and the current operation of Grantham Law. He continues to practice in Massachusetts and before the First Circuit. His current practice focuses on consumer bankruptcy and related debt relief and litigation matters.
