About Dawn Marie
Dawn Marie Schulz built a legal foundation through study and steady practice. She earned her J.D. from Temple University after completing a B.S. at Drexel University. Those classroom years set the stage for a career that has moved between in-house roles and private practice.
Her first recorded legal role came in 2006 as Director of Legal Services and lawyer for The MandMarblestone Group and MandMarblestone, P.C. She handled the types of matters that in-house departments typically address. The title suggests a mix of counseling, contract work and operational oversight.
In 2008 she shifted into a senior administrative position at Benefit Allocation Systems, Inc., serving as Vice President and Director of Compliance and Administration. That role placed her at the intersection of legal compliance and business operations. She worked on systems that touch benefits administration and regulatory requirements.
By 2013 she had returned to law firm practice, joining Curtin & Heefner LLP as a lawyer. At the firm she has applied her experience from corporate and compliance settings to client work. Her background gives her familiarity with internal legal processes, regulatory matters and the practical concerns of companies that need both legal answers and workable solutions.
Outside of her paid positions, Schulz has spent years on nonprofit boards. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Breastfeeding Resource Center since 2009. Beginning in 2014 she joined the board for Girls on the Run in Montgomery and Delaware Counties. Those roles indicate an ongoing interest in community organizations that support families and youth.
She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. That regional bar membership matches the mix of corporate and local nonprofit work she has pursued. Colleagues describe her as practical and attentive to the administrative side of legal work; she brings experience from both internal counsel roles and a firm environment.
Her current practice is at Curtin & Heefner LLP, where she handles matters drawn from her background in compliance, administration and legal services. She continues to balance client work with board service in the nonprofit sector.
