About David S.

David S. Schleiffarth pursued an undergraduate degree in sociology before turning to law. He earned a B.S. in Sociology from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2010 and completed his J.D. at Saint Louis University School of Law in 2018. Those academic steps led him back to Missouri, where he has built a practice centered on trust, estate and related matters.

He opened The Law Office of David S. Schleiffarth, LLC in 2019 and serves as the firm’s managing lawyer. Since establishing his practice he has worked on estate planning, trust administration and probate issues for individuals and families. He is a licensed lawyer in Missouri and joined the state bar in 2019.

Outside the office he has taken on roles that intersect with civic life and local business. He is a commissioner on the City of Crestwood Economic Development Commission, a position he has held since 2020. He also holds memberships in the Webster Groves–Shrewsbury–Rock Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Estate Planning Council of St. Louis, both since 2020. These local affiliations reflect an interest in community economic and planning matters that touch on the legal concerns of residents and small enterprises.

Within the legal community he participates in committees that address estate and trust law. He has been a member of The Missouri Bar and its Estate Planning Law Committee since 2019. He also belongs to the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis Trusts Committee. Those connections keep him engaged with developments in estate and trust practice and provide a forum for discussing changes in state law and procedure.

Clients can expect practical help on wills, powers of attorney, guardianship planning, trust drafting and administration, and probate proceedings. He manages a small firm that handles personal legal matters rather than large corporate litigation. His practice combines courtroom familiarity with estate planning work and community-oriented involvement. He currently concentrates his practice on estate planning, trusts, and probate matters.
