About David P. Vitale
David P. Vitale Jr. came to the law after a grounding in numbers and business. He earned a B.A. in Accountancy from George Washington University’s Mount Vernon campus in 2008. He went on to law school at Boston College, where he completed his J.D. in 2014. Those years gave him a combination of technical training and legal education that shaped the way he approaches casework.
He began practicing in Florida and by 2017 was working as a personal injury lawyer at Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley PA. His role at the firm places him in day-to-day contact with the procedural demands of civil litigation and the practical work of preparing claims. He moved from classroom theory to courtroom preparation, managing files, depositions and negotiations on behalf of injured clients.
Vitale handles a range of personal injury matters. He represents individuals making claims against insurers and other parties. His work involves investigating incidents, gathering medical and financial records, and coordinating with experts when necessary. He spends much of his time preparing cases for resolution, whether through settlement or trial, and advising clients about the options available at each stage.
Outside of direct client work, he takes part in professional programming. He serves as Co-Chair of the Professionalism CLE subcommittee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. In that role he helps organize continuing legal education on ethical practice and professional standards for lawyers in the area. The position keeps him engaged with peers and current issues affecting courtroom conduct and client relations.
At Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley PA, Vitale continues to represent clients in Florida personal injury cases. He splits time between case preparation, court appearances where required, and committee work that touches on lawyer professionalism. His current practice concentrates on personal injury matters in Florida.
