About David

David Nachtigall trained at the University of Texas at Austin, where he entered law school in 2003 and earned his Juris Doctor in 2006. He attended a law program known for its large curriculum and competitive environment. Those years shaped his early approach to legal reasoning and advocacy.

After graduation he began a legal career that has spanned more than a decade and a half. He has held roles that required drafting pleadings, advising clients and handling courtroom matters. Over time he has moved between different work settings, gaining practical experience in the day-to-day practice of law and the procedural demands that come with litigation and transactional files.

Colleagues describe him as precise in legal writing and attentive to procedural detail. He takes a methodical view of case preparation and prefers to build arguments on close analysis of facts and law. In conference and at the courthouse he tends to be measured and direct. That steadiness has shaped how he approaches negotiations and hearings alike.

Nachtigall’s education at Texas provided a foundation in both doctrinal coursework and practical skills courses. He drew on those course experiences when he began taking on client matters soon after licensing. The early part of his career included hands-on exposure to discovery, client counseling and courtroom advocacy. He steadily broadened his practical toolkit through those experiences.

Outside of casework he has been involved in routine tasks that sustain a law practice: client intake, file management, and coordinating with experts and opposing counsel. He has emphasized clear communication with clients and careful calendaring of deadlines. These day-to-day practices underpin the files he handles and reduce the risk of procedural setbacks.

Over the years Nachtigall has sought to balance a steady case load with the administrative responsibilities that accompany running a practice. He has navigated changes in court procedures and shifts in regulatory expectations, adapting his office practices accordingly. His peers note that he keeps abreast of developments in the law relevant to the matters he handles.

He continues to practice law in a private capacity and manages a caseload that reflects his training and experience.
