About David
David Meth began his academic path at Boston University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1983. He continued his legal education at Widener University Commonwealth Law School, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1986. The combination of a broad undergraduate education and a traditional law school program set the stage for a career that crosses state lines.
After law school, Meth took the bar admissions that allowed him to practice in both New Jersey and New York. Over the years he developed an interest in the financial and procedural aspects of family law. That interest led him to training and certification in mediation, and to work that frequently involves the economic dimensions of family disputes.
Meth holds a certification as an Economic Mediator in Family Law from the New Jersey Courts. That credential signals specialized training in valuing assets, analyzing income for support calculations, and structuring settlements that address future financial needs. He brings that technical orientation into cases that require careful fact-finding and clear explanations of numbers to judges and clients alike.
He is Of Counsel at Goldstein Law Group. In that role he consults on family law matters and mediations, drawing on both litigation experience and alternative dispute resolution techniques. The title reflects a senior advisory capacity rather than a front-line partnership role. Colleagues and clients rely on him for measured legal analysis and for work on the financial side of contested separations.
Meth is a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association and of the state bars of New Jersey and New York. Those memberships keep him connected to local court practices and to developments in statute and case law that affect divorce, support, and asset division. He participates in bar activities that sharpen courtroom and mediation skills, and he follows changes in procedural rules that can affect how cases are handled.
He balances technical work with a practical approach to dispute resolution. He explains valuation issues and support calculations in plain terms, and he helps clients weigh the costs and benefits of settlement versus litigation. He has focused much of his later practice on matters where financial detail matters most.
He currently serves as Of Counsel at Goldstein Law Group, handling family law matters and acting as an economic mediator in New Jersey and New York.
