About David M.

David M. Postic earned his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2016 after completing undergraduate study at the University of Oklahoma, where he received a B.B.A. in 2013 in business management and religious studies. He moved from student life in Norman to the Oklahoma legal community quickly. The years in law school and undergrad framed his entry into practice rather than a long academic career.

He began practicing law in 2016 and has been associated with Postic & Bates, P.C. since then. Early in his career he joined several local and professional organizations. Those memberships include the Ruth Bader Ginsburg American Inn of Court and the South Oklahoma City Lawyers Association, where he serves as vice president. He is also a board director of the Oklahoma City Real Property Lawyers Association and holds a trustee position with the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence.

Postic has remained tied to his law school community. He serves on the University of Oklahoma College of Law Young Alumni Board, a role he took on in 2019 and continues to hold. He is active in civic circles as well. Since 2016 he has been involved with the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City Midtown and has been named president-elect there.

Inside the office, his legal work reflects the practical demands of a regional practice. He is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and is listed with the Oklahoma Bar Association. His day-to-day work has involved client counseling, transactional matters and routine litigation, handled through the firm where he has been practicing since 2016. Colleagues and peers know him for steady participation in local bar groups and professional boards rather than for a public profile of high-profile litigation or academic publications.

Postic balances his firm responsibilities with ongoing involvement in professional development and community organizations. He appears regularly at association meetings and contributes to bar activities aimed at supporting younger lawyers and promoting legal education in Oklahoma.

He currently practices at Postic & Bates, P.C., where his work includes matters for clients across Oklahoma and involves real property and general civil practice areas in the state.
