About David Joel
David Joel Stander earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 1979 after beginning his legal studies in 1975. He completed his formal legal education at a time of change in the American legal profession. The degree set the course for a long career practicing in and around the nation's capital.
He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and in Maryland. Over the years he has maintained a regional practice that reflects those admissions. In 2013 he established the Law Office of David J. Stander LLC and took the title of principal. The firm carries his name and centers his work as a solo practitioner.
