About David J
David J Faber pursued a path that blends academic depth with practical legal work. He earned a B.A. in International Political Economy from Evergreen State College, followed by a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law. He then completed an LL.M. in Property & Investment Law at the University of Washington School of Law. Those credentials framed an early interest in land, investment and regulatory issues.
His legal career began in research and extern roles. In 2013 he worked as a research extern for Landesa, a position that exposed him to land rights and policy research. That same year he spent time at Perkins Coie LLP as a discovery lawyer, handling aspects of document review and litigation support at a large firm. Also in 2013 he served as an associate lawyer at the Yakama Nation Office of Legal Counsel, where he worked on matters that intersect tribal law and local governance.
In 2014 he co-founded Faber Feinson PLLC and became a partner. The move to a small firm setting gave him direct responsibility for client matters and firm operations. At Faber Feinson he has handled matters tied to real property, investment instruments and related disputes. The firm setting allowed him to take that mix of public-sector, large-firm and research experience and apply it to transactional and contested matters.
Faber maintains memberships in the Washington State Bar Association and the Jefferson County Bar Association. He has been listed with the state bar since 2012. Those memberships reflect his standing to practice in Washington and his involvement in the local legal community. His background includes work across multiple institutional settings: nonprofit research, private firm litigation support, tribal counsel and private practice leadership.
His education and early roles inform his approach. The LL.M. in Property & Investment Law provides a specialized legal perspective on land and financing questions. Experience at the Yakama Nation Office of Legal Counsel added an understanding of tribal legal frameworks and intergovernmental issues. Work at Perkins Coie contributed to his litigation and discovery experience. Today he applies that mix of training and practice at Faber Feinson PLLC, where he handles property and investment matters, real estate-related litigation and counseling, and issues involving tribal and municipal land use.
