David Gary Jones is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1996. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Jones is a partner at Lewitt Hackman, a full-service law firm located in Woodland Hills, California. He has been practicing law for over 25 years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles area and surrounding counties in Southern California.
Mr. Jones earned his Juris Doctor degree from Whittier College School of Law, where he graduated in 1996. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Loyola Marymount University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. During his time at Whittier College, he was involved in various legal organizations and activities, which laid the foundation for his future legal career.
Mr. Jones concentrates his practice in the areas of employment law and labor relations. He represents both employers and employees in matters involving discrimination, sexual harassment, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and retaliation. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. Additionally, he serves as a panel arbitrator for labor and employment disputes, providing alternative dispute resolution services to parties seeking to resolve conflicts outside of traditional litigation.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jones has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Lewitt Hackman, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years. His extensive experience in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of employment law matters.
Mr. Jones is an active member of the California State Bar Association and the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, where he served as a trustee from 2016 to 2017 and as president from 2020 to 2021. He has also served as the general counsel for the Los Angeles Firemen's Relief Association from 2017 to 2021. Mr. Jones is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
