About David Garrett

David Garrett Glasheen earned his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 2015 after completing undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in 2012. He arrived in law school with a liberal arts background and left with the credential required to begin practicing in Texas. Those formative years gave him exposure to clinical work, legal writing and the sorts of practical exercises many new attorneys encounter in a southern law school.

He became a member of the State Bar of Texas in 2015 and has maintained that membership since. After passing the bar, he entered private practice. In 2020 he joined Glasheen, Valles & Inderman, LLP. That move placed him inside a multi-office operation with regional presence across several cities. His trajectory reflects the steady career path of a lawyer building a practice in a single jurisdiction while working from multiple local offices.

In the office environment he has practiced from, he handles client matters that pass through the regular rhythms of civil practice. He has worked alongside colleagues in several locations and contributed to case preparation, client counseling and motion practice. Colleagues describe him as methodical; he approaches filings and client communications in a straightforward manner. He has navigated the routines of state-court procedure and the administrative requirements that accompany litigation in Texas.

The State Bar membership that began in 2015 remains an active part of his professional profile. That membership has connected him to continuing legal education opportunities and to the bar’s practice resources. He has used those resources to stay current on changes in Texas law and procedure during the first decade of his practice.

Glasheen has worked from offices in Austin, Albuquerque, Odessa, El Paso and Lubbock. Those locations have allowed him to assist clients across a broad swath of the region while remaining licensed in Texas. Working from multiple offices has required regular travel and coordination with local counsel when matters reach outside the state’s borders.

He continues to practice law in Texas through his role at Glasheen, Valles & Inderman, LLP, where his work centers on the routine tasks of representing and advising clients in the state’s legal system. His current practice focuses on handling client matters arising in Texas state courts and related proceedings.
