About David F
David F Fair built his path to the law in two steps. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Redlands in 2016 and continued to law school at Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, receiving his J.D. in 2019. Those years framed his entry into legal work and shaped how he approached cases early in his career.
His first recorded role in the field came in 2016, when he worked as a legal assistant for KENT Recovery Services. That position put him on the front lines of client contact and the day-to-day mechanics of legal practice. It was practical work: files, intake, research and the administrative tasks that keep a small legal operation moving.
After law school, Fair gained admission to practice in New York and joined the State Bar of New York as a member. That affiliation places him in the state’s professional network and subjects his work to the rules and standards of the New York bar. He has continued his practice in the state since completing his J.D.
Colleagues describe him as someone who moves deliberately through case details. He writes plainly and prefers clear memos over flourish. In court filings and client correspondence he favors precision. His background in political science shows through in his attention to how rules intersect with public policy and local institutions.
Fair’s work has been centered in private practice. He established The Fair Firm, PLLC, where he directs firm operations and manages client matters. The firm is small and client-focused in structure, and Fair handles both the substantive and managerial sides of running a practice. That means juggling client intake, case strategy and the daily administrative load that comes with running a boutique firm.
Outside of formal job titles, Fair’s experience threads together legal research, client interaction and practice management. He has maintained an active membership in the State Bar of New York and continues to engage with the professional expectations that membership entails. He currently practices at The Fair Firm, PLLC, concentrating on matters arising in New York.
