About David

David Dubin trained first as a political scientist. He earned a B.S. in Political Science from Eastern Michigan University and then went on to Michigan State University College of Law, where he received his J.D. Those years set the stage for a practice that crosses both state and federal lines.

After law school he entered practice and gained admission to several courts. He is authorized to appear before the courts of Michigan, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those admissions reflect a practice that engages matters at trial and on appeal.

In 2021 he launched his own firm, Dubin Law, PLLC. Starting a solo firm allowed him to shape the practice around courtroom work and appellate filings. The firm handles matters that require attention in state and federal forums, and it represents clients who need counsel at different stages of litigation.

His courtroom experience is reflected in the variety of matters that pass through his office. He prepares briefs for appellate courts and handles filings in trial courts. He also manages procedural strategy for cases that may travel between state and federal systems. That dual orientation—handling matters at more than one level of the judiciary—has become a defining feature of his work.

Colleagues and clients note his methodical approach to case preparation. He breaks complex issues into discrete questions and addresses them through careful research and written advocacy. He places particular emphasis on clear pleadings and concise appellate briefs. The result is a practice that values precision in filings and responsiveness to court schedules.

Outside the courtroom he continues to follow developments in precedent and procedure. He maintains admissions that allow him to bring cases to the Sixth Circuit and, when necessary, to the U.S. Supreme Court. That capability informs how he structures litigation from the outset.

David Dubin leads Dubin Law, PLLC, where he organizes the practice around litigation and appellate work in both state and federal courts. He is admitted in Michigan, the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court, and he manages cases that reflect those jurisdictions and forums. His current practice centers on litigation and appellate matters in state and federal courts.
