About David
David Callahan has built a legal career across state and federal venues in New England. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from Becker College in 1999 and completed his Juris Doctor at New England Law | Boston in 2004. Those credentials set the stage for a practice that blends courtroom work and client counseling.
He began his post-law school practice in 2005, taking associate roles at Dane Shulman Associates and at the Law Office of Donald E. Green. Early years in those offices gave him day-to-day trial exposure and experience handling contested matters. In 2010 he moved into a leadership role as managing lawyer at Pollack Law Group, P.C., overseeing matters and supervising junior attorneys. Six years later he became a lawyer and shareholder at Callahan, Barraco & Inman, P.C.
Licensing and professional memberships have marked his career path. He is licensed in Massachusetts and holds memberships in the Massachusetts State Bar (since 2005) and the Connecticut Bar Association (since 2004). He joined the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts membership in 2008. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers (since 2009), the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association (since 2010), and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (since 2010). He has been a member of the American Bar Association since 2014.
Those affiliations reflect the mix of work he handles. His file includes consumer bankruptcy matters and civil litigation. He has tried cases and handled contested proceedings in state and federal forums. Colleagues describe his approach as straightforward and court-minded; clients seek him out where litigation posture and courtroom experience matter.
In the office he combines case management with courtroom preparation. At Callahan, Barraco & Inman, P.C. he shares ownership responsibilities while continuing to handle individual client matters. The practice has staffed multiple offices and represents individuals and small businesses on bankruptcy-related matters and litigation issues arising from consumer and commercial disputes.
Outside the courtroom he stays connected to professional groups that track trial practice and consumer bankruptcy developments. He has participated in continuing legal education and activities offered by the associations to which he belongs.
He currently practices through Callahan | Barraco and continues to represent clients in consumer bankruptcy and civil litigation matters.
