About David C.
David C. Rash built a legal foundation that began in the classroom and moved quickly into the courtroom. He earned a B.A. in history from The Florida State University in 1986 and took his law degree from Loyola University New Orleans in 1990. Those years shaped his approach to litigation: methodical, evidence-driven and geared toward trial work.
He entered private practice in the early 1990s and spent time as an associate at Stanley M. Rosenblatt, P.A. in 1993. Four years later he opened his own practice. That first iteration of David C. Rash, P.A. started in 1997. He later formed partnerships and helped establish new firms. In 2001 he was a founding partner of Guilford & Rash, P.A. In 2007 he joined as a founding partner of Alters, Boldt, Brown, Rash & Culmo, P.A. He returned to the David C. Rash, P.A. name as owner and managing trial lawyer in 2013.
Rash’s resume lists long experience in trial courts. He is admitted to practice in Florida and Louisiana, before the 11th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court, and in multiple federal districts across Florida and Louisiana. That admission footprint has allowed him to try cases in both state and federal forums and to handle appeals when necessary. Over the years he has handled matters that proceed to contested hearings and jury trials rather than limiting practice to settlements alone.
Professional memberships underscore the kind of work he pursues. He holds current memberships in The Florida Bar and The Louisiana State Bar Association. He is involved with trial-oriented groups such as the American Association for Justice Leaders Forum and the Florida Justice Association. He also belongs to the Florida Admiralty Trial Lawyers Association and the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, reflecting steady engagement in maritime and admiralty litigation.
Colleagues and opposing counsel recognize him for a straightforward courtroom style. He prefers a clear narrative and an emphasis on proof. That approach is consistent across the various firms he has run or helped found. Running a practice has meant shifting between solo ownership and partnership while keeping trial litigation at the center of his work.
He now operates as owner and managing trial lawyer at David C. Rash, P.A., handling admiralty and trial litigation in both state and federal courts. He currently practices trial and admiralty litigation in Florida and Louisiana and before several federal district courts and appellate panels.
