About David C.

David C. Adams attended South Texas College of Law, beginning his studies in 2012 and earning his Juris Doctor in 2015. He completed the law program at a time when the state’s family law bench and bar were adapting to changing caseloads and evolving post-divorce financial issues. His legal education grounded him in courtroom procedure and the practical work of client advocacy.

After law school, Adams built his practice in the Houston metropolitan area. He joined Hunt Law Office, PLLC, and has worked across several of the firm’s regional offices. League City, Katy, Sugar Land and Cypress serve as bases for his client meetings and court appearances. That geographic spread reflects the suburban and urban mix of matters that come before county courts in that part of Texas.

Adams’s professional memberships trace a pattern of steady involvement in local and state bar groups. He has been a member of the Houston Bar Association since 2018 and joined the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas in 2019. In 2020 he added memberships in the Fort Bend County Bar Association, the Katy Bar Association, the Family Bar of Fort Bend and the Texas Bar College. These affiliations place him in regular contact with family law practitioners across multiple counties and give him access to continuing legal education and peer resources.

In practice, Adams handles family law matters that commonly appear in state courts: divorce proceedings, property division, child custody and support questions, and related hearings. He appears regularly for pretrial settings and contested family law hearings. Colleagues describe his courtroom work as steady and methodical; clients come to him for hands-on file management and practical guidance through procedural steps. He has experience preparing pleadings, organizing discovery, and presenting evidence at hearings.

Outside of appearances, Adams spends time advising clients on settlement options and drafting agreements intended to resolve financial and parenting disputes. He balances courtroom advocacy with efforts to narrow issues through negotiation when circumstances allow. He participates in bar activities and local family law gatherings that keep him current on statutory changes and evolving case law.

Today Adams practices at Hunt Law Office, PLLC, serving clients in several Houston-area offices and handling family law matters in Texas courts.
