About David Brian

David Brian Simpson is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1982. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Simpson earned his Juris Doctor degree from the UCLA School of Law in 1982. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, summa cum laude, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. During his time at UCLA School of Law, he participated in moot court activities, earning honors for his contributions.

Mr. Simpson concentrates his practice in the areas of labor and employment law, representing clients in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination. He has experience in all stages of litigation, including pre-trial proceedings, trials, and appeals. His practice encompasses both state and federal courts, handling cases from initial filings through appellate review.

Throughout his career, Mr. Simpson has handled numerous cases in various courts, including the Superior Court of California, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to co-founding Workplace Rights Law Group LLP, he worked at a large downtown Los Angeles firm and a labor law boutique, gaining extensive experience in employment law.

Mr. Simpson is an active member of the Labor and Litigation sections of the California State Bar. He has written and spoken on numerous employment and litigation topics and is recognized among his peers for his expertise in all areas of employment law. He has also served as an adjunct professor of law at the Glendale University College of Law, teaching trial practice, pre-trial litigation, and employment law. Additionally, he has been a U.S. District Court attorney settlement officer and a private employment law mediator, utilizing his experience and negotiation skills to resolve labor and employment law disputes.
