About David
David Bibiyan grew up academically oriented and followed a conventional path into law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2009 and completed his Juris Doctor at The University of Chicago Law School in 2012. Those formative years placed him in two very different academic settings — a large public university in Southern California and a private research institution in the Midwest — and helped shape his early outlook on practice.
He began his legal career in 2012 as an associate at Cohen & Lord, P.C., joining a small litigation shop where he learned day-to-day courtroom work and client handling. Two years later he moved into firm leadership as a managing partner at Bibiyan & Bokhour, P.C., a position he held beginning in 2014. By 2017 he was listed as managing partner of Bibiyan Law Group, P.C., the office that now carries his name. The progression from associate to managing partner happened quickly. That arc reflects steady movement into roles that required more client development, case management and business oversight.
Outside the office he has been active in local bar organizations. He has belonged to the Los Angeles County Bar Association since 2012. He joined the California Employment Lawyers Association in 2015 and the Los Angeles Jewish Bar Association in 2016. These memberships indicate an engagement with both practice-specific and community groups in the Los Angeles legal scene.
His practice centers on employment law. Colleagues describe his caseload as including contested workplace matters and counseling around employment disputes. He has spent much of his career representing parties in employment-related proceedings and has handled litigation and negotiated resolutions for clients at different stages of disputes. He also manages the administrative and operational responsibilities that come with running a small law firm, balancing case work against the demands of firm leadership.
The office at Bibiyan Law Group, P.C. serves as the base for his work. He maintains ties to Los Angeles professional networks through bar memberships and local legal organizations. His approach to practice emphasizes direct client contact, careful litigation preparation and a willingness to take cases through trial when necessary. He currently practices employment law at Bibiyan Law Group, P.C., representing clients in employment-related matters.
